ST. PATRICK'S DAY
London, 2010

Traffic was heavy around Piccadilly Circus. But instead of cars and red double-deckers, the Regent Street was packed with thousands of Londoners, many of whom in green Leprechaun hats.

From babies to grandpas, they came to join what seemed to be London’s 'greenest' celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day.

It seems that this annual festival never fails to capture Londoners’ attention. One of the reasons is the Irish population in the city is steep high.

Despite the high Irish population, London did get to see Saint Patrick’s Day Parade until nine years ago.
